In advance of its being part of Z33‘s new exhibition Space Odyssey 2.0, the film had its premiere at Rotterdam’s International Film Festival last Friday, January 25 2013. See the teaser below. This project contributes to a number of indicators that the scientific exploration into space will continue to influence design and other creative fields such as music. MPDClick forecasts this will come into commercial interpretation in autumn/winter 14/15, subscribers can click here for more insight into this trend.

Music: Slow Club

Words by MPDClick’s Music Trend Researcher.

Sheffield twosome Slow Club, consisting of Rebecca Taylor and Charles Watson, have recently garnered our attention with their second album ‘Paradise’.

The duo exudes a bohemian vibe with delicate yet undeniably powerful vocals by Rebecca, aided by harmonies provided by Charles resulting in a folk undertone that soothes the soul. The pairs laid back persona, effortlessly cool tracks and artsy inspired style makes them the perfect representation of one of our trends for autumn/winter 13/14 of which looks to art collectives and creative hubs for inspiration.
