Sydney born, London based artist and designer Kareena Zerefos combines traditional drawing methods with modern, feminine graphic styles producing intriguing works of art that reflect themes explored in our future trends.
Zerefos uses a range of carefully selected mediums to create her whimsical illustrations, including graphite, markers and ink on paper. She explores concepts of illusion and fragility by metamorphosising character girls with woodland creatures. Zerefos’ illustrations evoke dreamlike thoughts and imply a sense of bittersweet nostalgia. She produces beautiful, intricate scenes with a make-believe narrative.
