Nike’s footwear collection for autumn/winter 12 consists of a variety of styles, enabling them to appeal to a wide range of consumers. The latest instalment brings a more sophisticated edge to their footwear range with a minimalistic vibe. These soon to be staple styles are complimented by the revival of classic favourites.
Muted colourways together with the considered fabric contrasts, aims to bridge the gap between sports and leisure. A suede upper teamed with a woven canvas design exemplyfies this theme and is sure to be a bestseller for trend concious gym goers. A highlight of the collection are the suede hi-tops in cream with a steel blue lining and the bright blue tick logo adding a flash of colour.
In additional to the hi-top, a more fashion-forward ankle cuff is offered for the season which wraps around falling just below mid-calf and ties up with oversized laces. However, remaining ever nostalgic for the 1980’s, a more retro style of navy matte leather trainers with white laces and a metallic Nike tick is included that is reminiscent of their Air Force 1 model – a style which remains a popular choice for consumers. The use of suede on the high top version gives this classic look a subtle update.
