Award-winning couture headwear designer Emma Yeo has launched her debut ‘Solitary Motion’ collection in collaboration with Corrie Nielsen’s autumn/winter 12 ‘Vestarium Scotium’ line. The headwear follows in theme with Nielsen’s ready-to-wear collection, paying homage to Scottish style and heritage.
Yeo confidently reinvents a highlands equestrian vibe, creating a sophisticated selection of veiled bonnets and headwear, elegantly adorned with signature pheasant feathers. An autumnal colour palette evokes an organic aesthetic.
Materials include fusions of Yeo’s signature lasercut woods, luxury duchess silks, leather and black dyed pheasant feathers; drawing a contrast of line from nature with bold dramatic silhouettes. The collection combines cutting edge technology with traditional craftsmanship, shifting from sophisticated understatements to the overtly theatrical, creating pieces that suggest powerful and poised femininity.
