This week we travelled to Sydney to find our look of the week; coveting the eclectic street style of Australian Fashion Week’s well-heeled attendees.
This commendable interpretation of the tonal trend turns its back on overt print clashing, instead choosing to mismatch optic white and soft cream shades for a transitional summer/autumn ensemble. While the crisp, buttoned-up shirt is a key item for career collections, the choice of accompanying collarless cape and matching shorts set lends a contemporary edge to understated separates.
A popular styling technique noted at recent fashion week events is to drape a jacket casually around the shoulders, creating a fluid, voluminous silhouette. The introduction of a knitted, same-shade jacket adds texture to this tailored outfit. Although accessories and details are kept minimal the use of metallic silver shades still makes a statement.
