Described as ‘tomorrow’s treasures’, when Lulu Guinness creates a collection, she does it with every type of girl in mind, from the girly girl, to the quirky girl. There is something for everyone’s taste, and this collection is no exception.
Lulu is famous for her statement lip clutch, seen on the arms of the who’s who of celebrities; this season sees a modern edgy update on the design with plenty of choice. Colour ways include, metallic snake skins, diamante clusters and a studded punk alternative for those edgier girls. The staple red patent version sticks around but for this season has doubled in size and now features a removable strap making it the perfect day to night accessory.
Lulu also shows she can do sophisticated this season with her black faux fur, leather, lip clasp, hobo bag and the patent, navy bags in various shapes and size choices. The monochrome, cameo bags are an equally fashionable but quirkier alternative.
The brand is British and proud, and Lulu Guinness consistently showcases this within her collections, this season the lip clutch has also had a union jack makeover. As well as a kitsch ‘I love London’ purse and red telephone box wallet, the handbag collection shows a recreation of London’s souvenir store fronts. The overriding theme not only is consistent with the brands identity but was also accurately predicted by MPDClick in 2009 as part of our ‘National Hybrids’ trend.
