Look Of The Week

Words by MPDClick’s Trend Journal Editor.

Last week the MPDClick team were at the renowned trade fair Bread & Butter Berlin, not only to establish trends within the stands but to capture the directional street style to inspire future in-store styling. Here we focus on a contemporary womenswear look and directional career wear for men.

Statement trousers were a big thing for women at the event, seen here in the form of leopard print in a skinny fit, teamed with a snow wash denim shirt – relaxing the look with an androgynous twist. A brushed cotton blazer in navy softens the overall look while brogue boots, short sharp hair reinforce this ladies fashion forward credentials while pink tinted lips give feminine allure.

Quirky neck ties including fantastic bow ties were big news for men at the show, here giving a boost of colour to greyscale attire. Drop crotch, tapered cut pants and brogue boots give a directional edge to a classic white shirt while the casual jersey jacket adds a streetwear undertone.
