For autumn/winter 11/12 Mpdclick looked to scientific innovation to underpin Innovate, a trend flooded with angular refraction, microscopic organic forms and calculated shapes.
As the season draws closer the current Mondo Curio exhibition in Toronto by artist Paul Cook has pushed forward the solely scientific trend to one that embraces a protective, primitive aesthetic. When looking to science and innovation for answers it is necessary to refer back to our primitive roots, resulting in an intelligent, natural look shielded by contemporary, organic armour.
