Many creative disciplines consider ‘breaking America’ the key goal of their careers. As the Bio International Convention in Washington shows, the same thing applies to science.
According to italtrade.com, the official portal for the Italian Trade Commission:
“The Italian Trade Commission, in collaboration with the industry’s association, Assobiotec, has organised a delegation of 44 participants, including Companies, Science and Technology Parks, and Research Centres. The aim is to present both the general public and workers in the sector with a detailed and comprehensive picture of Italian developments in biotechnology.
Particular attention will be focused on new advances since the last Bio Convention was held in May 2010. There have been many innovations in the last year, both in terms of products originating in the research and development sector, and with regards to promotion.”
The Convention will be held between June 27th – 29th at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, allowing the visitor to see the very best that the sector has on offer. For years the biotech domain of science has been dominated by the United States thanks to availability of funds and the encouragement of entrepreneurship.
It is hoped that this exhibition and others like it will provide a place for Italy on the world biotechnical stage.
